A pick from Namibia Youth Book Fair

When we first started we met at least once every week, we discussed, debated, agreed disagreed. In a nutshell we found the solutions to making this event a memorable one. Slowly the message was sent out in a form of a press release, we went on TV, Radio and Sent the message via the newspaper.
Few days before the book fair Yambeka Children Media with UNESCO,  American Cultural Center and the Spanish Embassy went to visit schools and read stories to children!
After the stories the children were encouraged to write their own stories!

There were many activities from Story telling, book launches, writing workshop, Educational workshop. A good number of people came to the book fair. But I believe that we still have  a long way to go. Dear parents, its important to start buying books to your children before they can say a word!
